Senior Cloud Platform & Security Engineer for Germany / DACH
I am looking for a permanent senior role in Germany or the DACH region — onsite, hybrid or remote — as a Cloud Platform Engineer, Cloud Security Engineer or Cloud Architect. My home ground is Google Cloud: designing and running secure, reliable, cost-efficient platforms on GKE, with production AWS and Azure experience where a multi-cloud estate needs it.
With 12+ years of hands-on experience, I architected a mission-critical, multi-region cloud platform from the ground up that withstood a third-party DDoS resilience test and sustained the peak traffic of the FIFA World Cup 2026. I run it in production for 5+ product teams in parallel — with multi-region architecture, secure CI/CD and automated observability at the core.
Security is part of the platform, not a layer on top: least-privilege IAM, Workload Identity, Cloud Armor WAF, policy-as-code, secrets and key management, vulnerability triage. Cost is an architecture input too — a cross-cloud FinOps review I led cut spend by 40% with SLOs fully intact. On the AI side I run RAG and LLM workloads securely on GCP with guardrails and EU AI Act / GDPR governance.
I write things down: runbooks, architecture decision records, incident RCAs and onboarding guides that other teams actually use — plus internal Google Cloud enablement for 150+ engineers.
